San Felipe

A nice out-and-back ride in the Rio Grande valley North of Albuquerque that passes through the Sandia, Santa Ana and San Felipe Reservations.

• Ride N on 2nd Street out of town.
• Turn right onto Roy Rd. Then very soon after, turn left onto Highway 313.
• Ride N on 313 through Bernilillo, Algodones and San Felipe Pueblo.
• The road eventually winds around and runs into the Hoolywood Casino complex where you can fuel up on donuts and Gatorade.
• Reverse the route back to Albuquerque. The map below shows coming back on Alameda Rd, Edith and the N Diversion Channel bike path.
• In Algodones, there is an option to cross over to the East side of I-25 and ride the frontage back to Bernilillo. This road has a few good rollers and is more exposed to the wind.
