South 14 / Anaya Loop

Description

A popular East Mountain ride up South 14, and then making a short loop on Anaya Rd. that includes a few short steep climbs.
  • Take your favorite route to Tramway/Central at the mouth of Tijeras Canyon.
  • Ride S on Highway 337 (aka 14) up to Oak Flat, continue over the top down the other side.
  • Near the bottom of the descent, trun left onto Anaya Rd.
  • Follow this road N for ~2 miles or so when it will curve around to the left.
  • Continue on the same winding road and you will end up passing Oak Flat picnic area on your right and shortly thereafter run into 337/14
  • Turn right on 337/14 and reverse your path back to town.
