Description

Another East Mountain loop that goes up South 14, takes in the famous 217 rollers, and then the infamous Heartbreak Hill, albeit backwards which is much easier than the other way.
  • Take your favorite route to Tramway/Central at the mouth of Tijeras Canyon.
  • Ride E on Highway 333 (aka Route 66) to Tijeras.
  • Ride S on Highway 337 (aka 14) up to Oak Flat, continue over the top down the other side.
  • At the bottom of the descent, turn left onto Highway 217 in the "village" of Yrisarri.
  • Ride N on 217, crossing over I-40
