Jemez Dam

Description

A very popular ride out to the overlook above Jemez Dam on the Santa Ana Pueblo.
  • Make your way to Tramway and Highway 313. Either of the following works:
    • Ride N on the North Diversion Channel bike path to Paseo del Norte. Just before Paseo, turn left onto the bike path that goes W down to the river. At Edith (the first light), turn right and ride N ~1.3 miles to Alameda Rd. Turn left on Alameda Rd and ride W to 2nd St. Turn right on 2nd St and ride N to 4th St/Roy Rd. Turn right and then almost immediately left onto Highway 313.
    • Ride N on 2nd Street out of town. Turn right onto 4th St/Roy Rd and then almost immediately left onto Highway 313.
  • Ride N on 313 to Bernilillo.
  • Turn left on Highway 550.
  • Ride W on 550 through Brinilillo (bad traffic).
  • Turn Right on Jemez Dam Rd. and ride ~ 6 miles up to the cul-de-sac at the end of the road.
  • Ride back dowm Jemez Dam Rd. At 550, continue forward onto Highway 528. Ride S on 528 to the junction with Highway 448 to Coralles.
  • Turn left on 448. In slightly less than 2 miles turn right and wind your way through the neighborhoods to Camino Loma Larga.
  • Loma Larga ends near the junction of Coralles Rd. and Alameda.
  • Generally from here people will get on the Bosque bike path to get back into town.
