July 25:
Thanks for the great turnout. We had 46 riders and 48 starts. As for the
technical screwups...the battery on my stop watch flaked and dumped memory.
I had not transferred to paper 11 finish times. 8 of those riders gave me an
idea of their time, one time was determined from descriptions of his finish,
and two were unable to give me an idea of how they did. My apologies and I
will take steps to prevent anymore technical shortcomings. Thanks again.
August 1:
In what looked like it might be a washout, 39 riders (41 starts) were
treated to gorgeous weather on the evening of 1 August. Dan Doornbos
turned an outstanding time of 19:10. My compliments to all the riders.
August 8:
First the BAD news - for the first time in all the years that I have
officiated the evening TTs, the police asked that I remind riders to stay as
far to the right as practical. Please do. Thanks.
A great night of riding with 50 riders (52 starts). Congratulations to Ken
Zimmerman of KHSnm, the first individual to break 19 minutes this series @
18:48.
August 15:
A windy night saw a large number of riders going about a minute slower,
with a few exceptions. And then there was Ken Zimmerman who had "the
right gear" - fixed that is - and smoked a second under 19!
August 22:
A lightning show and good down pour struck at 5:15, followed by sunshine
and glorious double, full arch rainbows at 5:55. So the race was on and
it was a good night for most.

Course is a total 9.2 miles out and back
From intersection of I-40 and I-25: West to Exit # 149, Paseo Del
Volcan, North (right) 1/4 mile. Park on West side of Road
By surface streets: Route 66 (Central Ave) West to Paseo Del Volcan, see

Warm-up on I-40 Frontage Road ONLY Stay OFF pavement adjacent to
parking and start areas unless you are in line to start - we must keep
this road clear!
