NMBRA Event Permit Process

Last modified: Tue Jul 6, 2010 17:00:56
All road, mountain and 'cross permits for competitive event are subject to a $1 per rider per day NMBRA surcharge. Promoters who fail to pay their NMBRA fees will not be issued permits in the future.
Preliminary work
  • Chose course(s)
  • Obtain permission to use the course(s)
At least 10 weeks prior to event Consult with the NMBRA Permit Coordinator on the schedule and first draft of the race flyer. The permit coordinator encourages promoters to have their flyer & schedule reviewed before sending it to USA Cycling. This will likely eleviate problems and necessary changes after submission.
At least 8 weeks prior to event Promoter sends permit packet and payment to USA Cycling. The permit is then forwarded to the NMBRA Permit Coordinator for approval. Upon NMBRA approval, USA Cycling issues the permit.
After race flyer is approved by NMBRA Permit Coordinator Promoter will be informed that the Permit Coordinator has approved the race flyer and forwarded the permit packet to USAC. The race flyer can now be made public. Please send the race flyer to the web master for posting.
